Southam Medical Centre

The building aims to present an external reading, which invites entry, and an internal atmosphere that is calm, reassuring and designed to lift the spirits.

Organised around a double top-lit circulation zone, the design realises the potential for daylight penetration and solar gain. This medical centre aimed to provide a welcoming and informal entrance to the building, which would provide not only GP heath care but also health education facilities for the local community. The project received the 1995 'Celebration of Excellence' design award for the best building in Stratford on Avon District.
