Adams Business Centre

The new office building is a compact plan generally following the footprint of the original 2 storey buildings. The square plan of offices is dissected, northeast to southwest, by a light well containing the main circulation stair and is ‘bookended’ by a services core on the north and entrance zone containing the lift on the south.

The ground and first floors contain cellular offices and meeting rooms, located on the main street frontage, and open-plan offices located on the courtyard frontage. The top floor contains four offices and a large meeting room. The latter is set back from the facade to create a roof terrace.

The proposed principle construction material was Cross Laminated Timber (CLT).

Planning Permission: 2014.

Location: Kettering.
